Welcoming Baby #3 | A Legacy of Love and Art with This Pittsburgh Family
As a Pittsburgh newborn photographer, there are few things more meaningful than welcoming families back into the studio as they grow. This recent session was especially close to my heart — baby number three for a family I’ve had the joy of photographing from the very beginning.
From the firstborn’s newborn session years ago, to capturing baby number two’s milestones, and now celebrating their newest arrival, it’s been an incredible journey. Documenting all three siblings’ first days has been such a privilege, and watching this beautiful family grow in front of my lens is what makes this work so special.
For this session, mom and dad returned to the studio with their newest little one — just days old — and of course, big brother and big sister in tow. We designed the session to not only capture the sweet, sleepy newborn portraits but also update individual images of the older siblings and include timeless family portraits that reflect the love and connection they share.
As always, my studio is set up for a relaxed, baby-led experience. We took our time, allowing for breaks when needed and made sure each child felt included and celebrated.
After the session, the family returned for their viewing and ordering appointment, which is one of my favorite parts of the process. It’s where the images truly come to life and clients get to see the incredible images we created.
They were drawn to our heirloom round wood wall art — a perfect match to the custom pieces they had previously selected for their older children. I love how these circular wood pieces bring warmth and texture to any space, and more importantly, how they tell a cohesive story when displayed together in the home.
We also created something new and extra special: a framed collage art piece showcasing all three siblings together. This custom design highlighted each child’s unique personality while tying everything together in a timeless, artistic layout.
Digital galleries are wonderful, but printed artwork becomes part of your family’s story — something your children will grow up seeing every day. That’s why I guide each family through the process of choosing artwork that not only fits their home but becomes a meaningful legacy.
It was truly an honor to photograph this family for the third time and help them complete their newborn journey with this final chapter. These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do.
