Exploring History and Nature as a Pittsburgh family Photographer: An Outdoor Child Photography Session at Bushy Run Battlefield

Nestled just outside Pittsburgh, PA, Bushy Run Battlefield offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty. This location make it an ideal location for our family photography session. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing the essence of childhood amidst the rolling hills and historic landmarks of this remarkable site.

As we arrived, the crisp autumn air made it a perfect evening. During our time together, my client was immediately drawn to the open fields, where we could run freely and explore the expansive grounds. Her laughter echoed through the air as we played games, embodying the carefree spirit of childhood.

We started near the iconic battlefield markers, where this sweet little girls curiosity sparked conversations about the history of the site. During our time together, I saw her engage with her surroundings, imagining all the wildlife. These moments not only created great photographs but also fostered a love for nature.

Despite having to cross the road, we found a beautiful second location. As we moved toward the serene tall grass area, the golden light filtered through the trees, creating a magical atmosphere. The beauty of nature, providing ample opportunities for candid shots filled with joy and wonder. Her genuine smiles and playful interactions captured the essence of her personality, making each click a treasured memory.
